We aim to provide all pupils with a broad and balanced curriculum, within a secure, stable and stimulating environment, which will enable each child to reach his/her full potential.
We aim to assist all pupils in developing self-esteem, discipline, confidence, independence and respect by encouraging integration, participation and co-operation.
We regard parents as partners in the education process and encourage full involvement. All children follow a common programme of study in line with National Curriculum requirements but priority is given to the teaching of English and Maths.
The programme of study is delivered through a topic-based approach where appropriate. However, subjects are also taught discretely.
Children are taught as a whole class, as an ability set, in groups or as individuals. Whilst the class teacher has responsibility for whole class provision, pupils will be taught by other staff members for certain subjects.
